Archos Arnova 8 and Arnova 10 Tablet

Archos has introduced two tablets Android with very cheap price that is Arnova 8 ($ 150) and Arnova 10 ($ 199). Initially, the two tablets will be available with 600MHz ARM9 processor and with resistive type touch screen. However, both are expected to be upgraded to a 1GHz chip ARM Cortex-A8 (similar to the iPad current) and capacitive touch screen in the next two to three months, while prices are expected to remain steady.

Both tablets are also running the Android 2.1 (eclair) for now, but Android OS will be upgraded to 2.3 (Gingerbread) when updating the hardware came as expected in the month of April. In addition to 600MHz chip, and the use of a resistive touch screen, another area where Archos has been able to reduce the price is only 4GB of internal storage RAM, although this can be developed through the included microSD card slot. A Wi-Fi 802.11b / g is also supported by these tablets.

Users can still expect reasonable performance from the device, including an estimated battery life for 22 hours when listening to music, or six hours when watching video. Support files are also good with audio support for popular formats, including FLAC lossless. Video formats supported include AVI.

Tablets Archos Arnova currently marketed in Europe and is expected to reach other countries soon.
